A large one inch map centring on Jhansi & the Betwa River flowing past Orchha,1925 -26

A very large, coloured, linen-backed folding map on a scale of 1 inch to 1 mile, measuring 60 x 36 ins unfolded and folding down to 7½ x 5 ins, the endpaper with original printed Survey of India title label, with original owner’s name. Major L. G. Man. The map shows Jhansi ad Orchha on the holy river Betwa where special ceremonies take place at Holi with a frightening representation of Kali being cast into the waters.
