Original brown rexine covered boards with title in gilt to front cover, the binding is of wallet type for use in the field, a separate Big Game Register is bound in the same manner and fitted to the rear board through a band [doubtless so it oould be removed and replaced when completed], the front board has a gussetted pockert for notes maps etc. and there is holder between the two booklets for a pencil The binding is in very good condition and the register part is not filled in, a damp stain runs through the books, mainly on the outer bottom corner and outer margin and the paper is somewhat browned with age but it is in pretty good condition for something that was designed to be carried in the field. The forword by Colonel R W Burton notes that This small work meets all thses requirements and should prove useful to those with knowledge and invaluable to those without. An unuual ephemeral big game hunting survival.
