BORDER COUNTRIES OF THE PUNJAB HIMALAYA Shuttleworth, H Lee The Punjab Himalaya is a region located in northern India, and it shares borders with several countries. The border countries of the Punjab Himalaya are: Pakistan: To the west of the Punjab Himalaya lies Pakistan. The border between India and Pakistan in this region is known as the Line of Control (LoC). The LoC separates the two countries and is heavily militarized.

China: To the north of the Punjab Himalaya is China. The border between India and China in this region is known as the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The LAC has been the site of numerous disputes between the two countries. Nepal: To the east of the Punjab Himalaya is Nepal. The border between India and Nepal in this region is open, and people can move freely between the two countries without the need for visas. Bhutan: To the southeast of the Punjab Himalaya is Bhutan. The border between India and Bhutan is also open, and people can move freely between the two countries without the need for visas. Overall, the Punjab Himalaya is a region with a rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and a complex geopolitical history.
