Delhi Durbar 1911. Views of the Remount Camp

The four 5½ x 3¼ ins snapshot photographs are on one side of an old album page with contemporary manuscript titles in ink . Showing state of the land before Camos were made. The reverse has three similar sized images of camel and bullock carts at Aden where the photographer would have stopped off for re-coaling on the way out to India. The fact that one of the photographs was taken before the camps were finished suggests the photographer had an organisational position A general view of the tented camps A large view of the tented camps in 1903 at the Coronation Durbar marking the accession of the first King Emperor, Edward VII, 9½ x 9 ins.
