Educational Department Punjab

Educational Department Punjab. Government Training Class for Male Teachers in European Schools, Sanawar. Revised Prospectus. 1908. (held at the Lawrence Military Asylum.). Published by Education Department Punjab., Lahore, 1908 The Lawrence Military Asylum, which later transformed into institutions like Lawrence School and Lawrence College, had a noble origin. Founded by Sir Henry Montgomery Lawrence, the first Military Asylum in Sanawar aimed to provide education to children of soldiers who served in India.

Preference was given to those of "pure European parentage." One such institution, the Lawrence School in Mount Abu, established in 1856, was part of this legacy. Although no longer existing, its history lives on in records found at the British Library. From Sanawar to Mount Abu, these institutions played a significant role in shaping young lives.
