We invite you to share your thoughts and also consider some critical questions raised in the book pertaining to the University of British Columbia (UBC) and Sikh studies:
Why did UBC make a first-year visiting appointment rather than a tenure track for the endowment chair, as was originally signed in the contract?
Why did it take UBC two years to commence the chair?
Are his publications consistent with the objectives of the chair?
Why did he allegedly use unethical academic suppression of crucial historical evidence?
Why weren't the objectives supervised by UBC?
Why didn't UBC report as per the agreement?
Why wasn't a review committee set up?
Why did UBC allow violations of SSHRC guidelines?
