Kashmir World's Biggest Question Mark Writer Nawab Mian Mushtaq Ahmed Gurmani (1905-1981) was a Pakistani politician who served as Diwan of Bahawalpur. He was from Sinanwan. Partition of India and accession of Bahawalpur. Later, he was a 'portfolioless minister' in Pakistan's central government, in charge of the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs, and before the split, he served as prime minister in the princely state of Bahawalpur in 1981 for permanent residency. In his role as a "portfolioless minister", he was in charge of Kashmir affairs, signing the Karachi Accords of 1949 and establishing a truce between the Pakistani and Indian regions of Kashmir. In 1951, he served as Administrator of Kashmir Affairs and the Northern Region, and from 1951 to 1954 he was Minister of the Interior of Pakistan. From 1954 he served as Governor of Punjab until 1957. In 1955 the governorship of Punjab was abolished and Gourmani became the first governor of West Pakistan[3]. Mushtak Ahmed Gourmani belonged to the Gourmani Baroque tribe. After his death, his family set up a foundation called the Gourmani Foundation and donated a huge sum of money.
