Maharajah Ranjit Singh, Sher-e-Panjab, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Kangra, Peshawar, Multan, Hazara, Emperor of Jamrud, 1799-1839 Maharajah Ranjit Singh (13 November 1780 – 27 June 1839), also known as "Sher-e-Punjab" ("Lion of Punjab"), conquered his 11 Sikh kingdoms of Punjab After that, he became the first Sikh emperor. From 1799 to 1839 he served under the foundation of Khalsa and the banner of Sarkar-i-Khalsa.
