Ranjit Kahania

Singh Chatrath, Balwant (d. 1959) was a noted short story writer who died in 1959. He has used this form of literature extensively and has written more than five of his collections of short stories (Dasmesh Kahanian, RanJit Kahanian, Pushp Patari, Sardarni, Navi Lih). He has advocated certain reforms in both social and religious spheres. All the stories in his Navi Lih collection deal with many social issues. In order to achieve his goal of eradicating the evil that has crept into our society, he conducted several life events associated with Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Guru Govind Singh of Ranjit Kahanian and Dasmesh Kahanian respectively. I tried to reinterpret the Technically, his story is not of a very high standard. They aren't built properly and the plot remains loose. The story of Ranjit Kahanian is historical rather than literary.
