The Tamgha-I-Jang Medal

Awarded for combat service in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. A full size officially issued cupro-nckel medal measuring 1.3/8th inches in diameter (38mm) and in very fine plus condition. It is complete with correct original ribbon. Obverse : The star and crescent emblem of Pakistan centrally with the insignia of the army, navy and air force above, left and right, respectively Reverse: Urdu inscription above, dated 1391 😊 1971 AD) below, jasmine wreaths to either side The medal was instituted in 1972 and awarded for active service in the war with India that took place from 3rd to 16th of December 1971.
