We are honored and grateful to thank Tejinder Singh for the kind and thoughtful gift of the tunic buttons belonging to the 1st Battalion (Prince of Wales' Own Sikhs) Frontier Force Regiment and the 51 Sikh FF regiment, two regiments with fascinating and important histories. These buttons are unique historical artifacts that represent a significant part of military history. The 51 Sikh FF regiment was one of four Sikh infantry regiments that formed the Frontier Brigade, originally raised by Captain J.S. Hodgson in 1846 after the 1st Sikh War. Tejinder Singh Saini's generosity and thoughtfulness in gifting us with these buttons is greatly appreciated, and we will cherish them as part of our Sikh military heritage collection.
